Awarded with the "Best in Show" the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 GT Touring Cabriolet at the 6th edition of Stelle sul Liston, "A Riveder le Stelle" in the old town of Padova. Organized by Rossano Nicoletto of RIVS, Corrado Lopresto was awarded as the past editions.
The elegant car is one of the two cars survived of a little series with lines of the "Villa d'Este" with a long chassis like GT and in 2001 was the protagonist of the first victory of Corrado Lopresto at the Concorso di Villa d'Este.
The success of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta SS prototype continues in the USA. The car, presented by Donald Osborne at the concours of Santa Fe in the New Mexico won the special prize "Designer's Choice" of the jury, chaired by Kip Wasenko, ex designer General Motors and Steward Reed, chairman of the Transportation Design Department of Art Center College of Design, one of the most prestigious and important school in the world. The tribute of the american designer's for the work of Franco Scaglione is again the demonstration of the excellence talent of this great stylist.
As usual every year in september, the Car Guy Tour visits the garage of Lopresto Collection. Established by Frank Mandarano, founder of Concorso Italiano, in 1998 the Tour was a trip through museums, the collections and atelier of the north of Italy for all the enthusiast of italian car. Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Museo dell'Automobile di Torino, Borrani, Touring, Zagato are just some of the places of the tour where the Lopresto Collection is present in the past years.
While waiting for the GP Nuvolari, in Piazza Sordello, the 2nd edition of the Concours d'Elegnce "Città di Mantova" took place in Mantova, organized by the club 8Volanti. The event, has let the elegance of a concours and the sport aspect of the Gran Prix to be combined, there were about 50 cars, with the presents of some very important and rare cars, as the Lancia Beta 1911 or the Alfa 1900 Cabriolet Pinin Farina.
The Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Praho from the Lopresto Collection won the Best in Show at the 6th edition of 24 Hours of Elegance of Belgrade, in Serbia. The car driven by Duccio Lopresto has received the first prize overall leaving the judges and the jury jaw-dropping.
The Concours of Belgrade, orgnized by the partnership with the Gran Casino and the Serbian Federation of Historical Automotive (signed at FIVA) and with the patronage of the Serbian Royal Family, spent 3 days dedicated entirely to luxury. Special attention to the Masters of Excellence exhibition, where some of the most prestigious luxury brands of Milan were the protagonists. In addition the official partner of the event, the swiss company of luxury watches Zenith, has presented 3 new models inspired from the car collection world.
