The Touring Osca 1600 GT exhibited in the United States
On August 15, 2020, the exhibition "From the Racetrack to the Opera: Marques that did it all" was inaugurated at the Audrain Automobile Museum in Newport, Rhode Island, in the USs. The exhibition, curated by Donald Osborne, combines completely different pairs of cars of the same brand: elegant luxury cars and racing cars.
Among the protagonists, the only car brought there from Europe, there is also the 1961 Osca 1600 GT Touring from the Lopresto Collection, one of the two examples built by the Milanese body shop, characterized by many unique details.
Corrado Lopresto at the Cozzi museum
On the occasion of the Business Culture Week, the Fratelli Cozzi Museum in Legnano hosted a conference by Corrado Lopresto, who brought his story and the extraordinary Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ "Coda Tronca" prototype.
There were over seventy enthusiasts who met for the occasion, listening to the story of the Lopresto collection, born just 40 years ago (in December 1979 with the purchase of the first Balilla) and continued until today with many awards including the FIVA award sponsored by Unesco for the restoration of the Giulietta SZ.
The Lopresto Collection at Pebble Beach
The 2019's edition of the Concours d'Elegance of Pebble Beach, was the occasion for the debut of the restored car from the Lopresto Collection in collaboration with Polo Storico Lamborghini. It is the legendary Lamborghini Miura P400 protagonist in the movie "The Italian Job", property of the swiss car collector Fritz Kaiser, it was submitted under a detailed restoration and studied in detail. The car is one of the fewest Miura with white leather seats, chassis 3586, built in the june of 1968 just in time for the movie's shooting.
The car won the third prize in the dedicated class for the Lamborghini Miura, behind the SV of Jean Todt and the P400 Postwar, won by an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato of David MacNeil.
Inaugurated in Lucerne the exhibition Fashion&Cars
Inaugurated on Monday 21 October 2019, the exhibition “Fashion & Cars” is the third chapter of the “Italo Design” trilogy, telling the story of Italian car styling thanks to the cars of the Lopresto Collection.
The exhibition combines, in a not-unprecedented but certainly unusual combination, very rare custom-built cars with haute couture dresses, lent by the collection of Maison Mila Schön. A combination that reminds the 1950s and 1960s concourses d’elegance and recalls how coachworks were born like clothes back then, tailor-made for the client by world-famous stylists.
The Scaglione designed Fiat 1400 awarded in Meano
We all know Franco Scaglione as the designer of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale or the exceptional BAT prototypes, but his career began with something less high-catching and particular. The Concorso d'Eleganza di Meano was an opportunity to show to the public the Fiat 1400 Coupé that Scaglione designed in 1952 for the Carrozzeria Balbo of Turin, a one-of-a-kind model recently restored by Lopresto.
The presentation of the Milano-Monza Motor Show
On Thursday 19 September the presentation of the new Milan-Monza Open-Air Motor Show took place at the Pirelli headquarters in Milan. The show collects the heritage of the Salone Parco Valentino by moving to Lombardy. In addition to Andrea Levy who created the event, the mayors of Milan and Monza, the presidents of ACI, ACI Milano and Autodromo di Monza and many other personalities from the automotive world were present at the presentation.
Victories in London and Belgrade for the cars of the collection
A successful week for the cars of Lopresto Collection in London and Belgrade.
At Salon Privé, a concours d'elegance that takes place in a fabulous context of Blenheim Palace, the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Aprile won the first prize in the class F "pre-war sports racers" and it took the 3rd place of the final classification for the Best in Show, behind a Rolls-Royce of 1912 and the winner, a Talbot-Lago T26 GS Coupe Figoni of 1948. The Alfa was also awarded with a special prize for the best design of bodywork. Duccio Lopresto participated as a judge of G and I classes.

In occasion of the 65 years of Alfa Romeo Giulietta, unique model of the italian production born in 1954 and produced until 1965, the Lopresto Collection has organized in collaboration with Museo dei Trasporti of Luzern and with Alfa Romeo Switzerland a unique exhibition of prototypes.
The exhibition, visible at the museum until the 12 of july, it was inaugurated the last 13 of june with a presentation of Corrado Lopresto, that has spoken about his career as a car collector with a particular focus on the brand Alfa Romeo, followed by a speach by Alessandro Maccolini, deisgner of FCA, author of the recent prototype Tonale.
